Attribute History records who changed what and when for selected user attributes in NetIQ IDM and preserves every previous value. It gives operations and security teams instant visibility during incidents and audits without impacting daily directory activity.
Some attributes do not change often but can drive major downstream actions. A simple update of a department can trigger role and resource reassignments across applications. Altering a mobile-phone attribute can affect MFA flows, restricting accessibility.
Traceability accelerates troubleshooting. It also supports compliance reviews and enables easy restoration of previous values.
