The challenge

When a manager quits, their direct reports — especially contractors and non-employees — may lose their approval chain. No automated process exists to reassign these relationships, creating orphaned accountability gaps.

The outcome

Reassign Manager automatically transfers direct reports using configurable strategies: to the N+2, to the department's new manager, or to a statically defined person per user type. Notification emails ensure the new manager is aware.
